Yuletide Arrives..

Twyncles expanded her essence to encompass the whole of the worldlet for which she was a steward and guardian.  Around her the stars bowed in gracious acknowledgement of her presence among them.

Below she could see the softly glowing realm of Airs.  A rising epiphany of joyous greeting from all the creatures that dwelt there. to the spirit of Yule harmonised with the symphonic stars, bringing all who had the tiniest bit of sensitivity to a grander sense of wholeness  into an embrace with all that made creation a beautiful design of hearts on fire and minds alight.

Smiling she nodded to her companion. "It is good."

Yule Pleasantry

Twyncles watched as weeds made his way back to the yurts. Even though it was very cold, she continued to stand in the French doors.  A simple smile graced her lips as she reviewed the afternoon.

She and weeds had had the best visit, catching up on the latest news around Airs, and both amused by whatties latest seasonal scrape.  Last year she had been in the deep doo doo with the Yule Fairy, this year the Great and Terrifying Yule Cat, bane of all lazy and selfish persons at Yule was after her.

Twyncles giggled, or so the blue and white feline shifter thought.  A mental picture of whatties trying to force the Great White Rabbit to accept her gift of flip flops circled in her imagination, complete with squalling and howling for mercy from whatties as the ungrateful GWR thoroughly cleaned her clock for her.

A tap on her shoulder made her turn to see Katie, "Yes dear?" she inquired mildly.

"Twy.. it would be very kind of you to close these doors, come in or go out but for the sake of our continued good health inside, we would like the breeze to be a bit modified." Katie replied with a lifted eyebrow.

"Oh!..stars, I apologize Katie.. I was wool gathering." Twyncles stepped back into the common room and firmly closed the French doors with a sheepish grin to the inn's formidable cook.

Yule Festivities

Twyncles smiled as she signed the last greeting and set it on top of the towering stack in the 'out box'. "Nice to be signing  on something besides the bills of lading." she murmured to herself. Tats fluttered around ready to deliver the happy messages. She nodded, "Go ahead, and dont dally, I would like them to arrive this Yule if at all possible."  The tats swooped on the pile and with a tiny volley of pops they all vanished, taking the cards with them.

Standing and stretching, she took her mug of tea and went over to admire the splendid Yule tree that took pride of place in the common room.  The brightly wrapped gifts that lay beneath it were a festive mystery waiting for the big day to be solved.

The entire common room was decorated even more splendidly this year than it had ever been previously.  Overhead the tiny bells that weeds and Gems had strung across the rafters were chiming softly, some ancient paeon to Yule. The hard working WinterBees had more than earned their reward  of honey she thought, and their ski-ing holiday when Yule was over. She thought they would all go back to the West Pole for it.

Walking to the sideboard to get more tea, she noticed a note addressed to her on top of the muffin basket. Picking it up she read, Dear Lady Twyncles, Could meep and I please have new pullovers for Yule? We have outgrown our old ones and forgot to put them on our list to the Yule Fairy.

Sincerely

Ptero & meep xxooxx

Twyncles giggled, well the poor dears, she snapped her fingers and several tats who had been lollling around the roll top desk smoking tiny pipes while their wives massaged their footies ported across the room, got tangle in the Yule tree, making the ornaments jingle, then righted their flight path and hovered in front of her.  She directed them to get a group of their fellows together and knit two pullovers, nicely decorated with snowflakes and reindeer and.. she added, "It would be ever so nice if you would put their names on the sweaters." The tats chittered and flew off to get a knitting squad together.
